Popanyinning is a small town located in the Wheatbelt on the Great Southern Highway between Pingelly and Narrogin. It is 170km south east of Perth and 19kms north of Cuballing.
Today the town supports a strong agricultural industry and a current population of approximately 150 people.
Popanyinning was originally named 'Popaning' which stands for waterhole in the Aboriginal language. The name came about from a large waterhole that was situated just outside of the town.
To continue the development of a vibrant regional community, purchasers are required to build their home within 36 months from settlement.
