Mangles Bay

A place for everyone

The sounds of summer breezes tinkling in yacht riggings, gulls wheeling overhead and kids laughing as they splash in the shallows.

The Mangles Bay Marina Project will breathe new life into the Point Peron peninsula, opening-up this beautiful stretch of coastline for all Western Australians to enjoy.

With up to 500 marina pens planned, it will provide safe moorings and storage for the local boating community, along with first class community facilities to make the area a vibrant new tourism precinct.

Rockingham is identified in the State Government's Directions 2031 and Beyond planning framework as a Strategic Metropolitan Centre and this project will generate significant local employment and investment opportunities.

Managed by LandCorp in partnership with the Cedar Woods Property Group, the Mangles Bay Marina Project at the southern end of Cockburn Sound will enhance and complement the natural beauty of the area.

People will enjoy affordable chalet-style accommodation and greater access to the beach, along with a fresh and lively waterside entertainment district with restaurants, cafes and short-stay accommodation.

Boating clubs will enjoy a seabed lease in the new marina and opportunities to develop new facilities for members.

We're also looking after the natural environment by rehabilitating the area between the bay and Lake Richmond to improve the habitat for native wildlife. In addition, new seagrass beds will be planted across a wide area, far greater than that removed to create an entry channel to the marina.
