Three hours drive south-east of Perth, Katanning is an important regional service centre for a population of 20,000 people. Katanning was identified as a SuperTown in 2012 and a Growth and Implementation Plan was developed with the community.
State Government funding was received for the implementation of the Town Centre Commercialisation and Streetscape Revitalisation Project which is currently underway.
This along with other exciting projects is helping Katanning become a key population centre in the Great Southern.
(Further information on SuperTowns and the Katanning Town Centre Commercialisation and Streetscape Revitalisation Project can be found on the Shire Of Katanning website).
To continue the development of a vibrant rural community, purchasers are required to build their home within 36 months from settlement.
Regional Development Assistance Program (RDAP)
The Regional Development Assistance Program, also known as RDAP, helps Local Governments to address the high costs associated with residential, industrial and commercial land developments in regional WA. Through these partnerships, LandCorp, on behalf of the State Government, is helping to deliver the land needed to support regional growth and to build great communities.
