Gnowangerup is located in the Great Southern area, approximately 354km south east of Perth.
The area is predominantly agriculturally based with livestock and crops being the main industry contributors. The Shire of Gnowangerup is well known for its Merino sheep and attracts large crowds at the annual Stud Field Days.
Tourists are drawn to the area by the majestic Stirling Ranges, a popular climbing spot with incredible scenery.
