A unique opportunity is in store for home buyers, with the release of the first single residential lots at LandCorp’s Parkside Walk estate in Jolimont.
LandCorp will release six single residential lots in the southern precinct of the estate with lot sizes starting from 299sqm and priced from $625,000.
LandCorp Chief Executive Frank Marra said location was key when it came to land at Parkside Walk.
“With easy access to great shopping facilities, public transport, education, health and recreational facilities, this estate is a place where people want to live,” Mr Marra said.
“It is an opportunity to have a new home in a well-established, leafy suburb and to enjoy the amenities the area has to offer.”
“The lots for sale will be ideal for people who want the ease and convenience of urban living within a sustainable, attractive and high quality estate.”
The estate will deliver parkside living at its best. Developed on a former nursery site, it is located between Wembley Sports Park, Henderson Park and Mabel Talbot Park.
The location is within walking distance of the Cambridge Street retail and café strip and just a short drive to Perth’s CBD and the beach.
Upon completion, the estate will cater for up to 350 dwellings including apartments and single residential homes.
Parkside Walk is a partnership between the Town of Cambridge and LandCorp which is transforming the Salvado Road site that has been vacant since 1994.
It is within the catchment area of Jolimont Primary School and Shenton College, and close to the University of Western Australia.
Town of Cambridge Mayor Keri Shannon said the development was the perfect solution for the area.
“Parkside Walk will breathe new life into Jolimont and revitalise an underutilised piece of land,” Ms Shannon said.
“The estate will also provide better access to the surrounding parklands and amenities, upgraded street scapes and landscaped walkways, further enhancing what is already a great place to live.”
Mr Marra said the development was the first project in Western Australia to be certified under EnviroDevelopment’s Multi-Unit Residential Standard.
“We have implemented sustainable and innovative features that will result in potential cost saving and a more sustainable lifestyle for Parkside Walk residents,” he said.
“Sustainable living is a key goal of a growing number of home buyers and the estate will include water wise and energy efficient appliances, water-sensitive gardens, climate responsive design and solar-oriented dwellings.”
Mr Marra said there was likely to be strong interest in the single residential lots, given the high demand for the first three apartment sites offered in the estate last year.
“This is a unique and limited chance for home buyers to purchase their own slice of parkside living,” he said.
“Given the extent of interest we have seen to date, we encourage people to get in quickly.”
The land will be released through an offers invited process from 28 August to 5pm WST 4 September 2017.
