Family business up and running at Crossroads Industrial

A family run mechanic service centre loves their new location so much they decided to call their business after it.

Crossroads Mechanical, a Repco Authorised Service Centre owned and run by Kristie and Dave Bell, set-up shop at Crossroads Industrial in Forrestdale after spotting the benefits of its location.

"We have had plenty of people just drop in after seeing our business from Ranford Road and our location is so close to major traffic routes including Tonkin Highway which is also a factor for business going really well," Mrs Bell said.

"Crossroads Mechanical provides log book servicing and repairs to all vehicle makes and models including motorbikes, trailers and light trucks and offer tyre and battery replacements."

"As a local working family with three children we know how busy life can be so we are trying to make it as convenient as possible for people to get their car serviced. We provide free loan cars, child car restraints and our premises offer pleasant surroundings for customers to wait including a secure kids play area and coffee and tea facilities."

"We chose to locate our business at the Crossroads estate due to the spacious workshop and the fact that we are in a pocket of small businesses".

"Being a brand new start-up business we are grateful to the community and local businesses that have already trusted us with their vehicles since we opened".

LandCorp general manager metropolitan and industrial John Hackett said it was good to see a family-run business amongst those now operating at Crossroads Industrial.

"The estate is coming alive with completion of the first dozen premises with more to follow in coming months. The lots sold in the first three stages have allowed for developers to build multiple small units to tenant individual businesses or for owner-occupiers to establish themselves in the estate."

There are only six light industry lots remaining sized 2,000sqm up to 3,593sqm, priced from $573,000 and fully titled, ready for development. The next land release is not anticipated until late 2017 so now is the time to secure industrial land in a prime location.
