Batavia Coast Marina

The City of Greater Geraldton has experienced a resurgence of interest in recent times after more than $40million was invested into the foreshore redevelopment and CBD revitalisation projects that have successfully changed the face of Geraldton over the past decade.

Completion of activity areas such as Batavia Coast Marina, the Museum, Bill Sewell Complex, HMAS II Sydney Monument, Champion Bay foreshore enhancement, Geraldton CBD and other surrounding features have enhanced Geraldton’s position as a ideal destination to live, work and invest in and been catalysts for investment in the area.

Batavia Coast Marina Stage 1 (BCM1) was the most recent significant large scale development in the area and is now complete. Batavia Coast Marina Stage 2 (BCM2) is in its early stages with remediation complete and its future development planning in process. Once fully developed, Batavia Coast Marina will provide strategic links to connect activity centers in the CBD, foreshore and marina.

The removal of the railway line from the CBD foreshore has also produced a unique development opportunity for an adjacent parcel of land, known as Lot 601.  As a result, Lot 601 has now been included in the planning for BCM2. Lot 601 is in a prime position with direct street frontage onto the main street of the CBD shopping precinct and redeveloped foreshore and also benefits from uninterrupted views across Champion Bay.
