On 13 December 2009 the Premier launched a concept for the revitalisation of Perth's Swan River foreshore - a project of State significance which is set to transform the area into a vibrant round-the-clock hub of activity.

Quite simply it will re-establish the historic connection that Perth once had with the Swan River while creating a new focus for the city, its residents and visitors.

LandCorp has worked in partnership with the Department of Planning to develop concepts for the proposed Perth Waterfront project. LandCorp’s property and project delivery skills are complementary to the planning expertise of the Department of Planning, who is leading the current phase of the project.

Perth is expected to be the fastest growing capital city over the next 50 years and the waterfront project will create a strong identity in the global market to ensure highly skilled and young workers are attracted to Western Australia to help support the projected economic growth.
