Perry Lakes is in Floreat, about seven kilometres west of Perth's CBD. The site is bounded by Meagher Drive, Underwood Avenue, Brookdale and Alderbury Streets.
We are developing Perry Lakes into a high quality residential area in a unique parkland setting.
New sporting facilities are being developed at AK Reserve just across the road from the Perry Lakes Stadium site to replace the ageing facilities that were originally built for the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games.
Construction works for the first stage of the Perry Lakes redevelopment commenced in January 2010. Stage 1 development works will create the new residential area to the north west of the site, as well as some works to the lake edge.
The development works will include demolishing the old rugby clubrooms, remediation of the original warm-up track under the rugby oval and removal of the terrace seating surrounding the running track.
Works will also prepare the site with roads, sewerage, underground electricity services and landscape works to create the first lots. Wherever possible, materials will be recycled for later use in elements of the redevelopment.
