Halls Creek

Community Information

Working with the Shire of Halls Creek and the community, we have developed a two kilometre “Town Walk” highlighting the town’s cultural, historical and environmental heritage.

The walk is comprised of nine stations, each marked by a totem pole, which showcases the town’s history through stories, quotes, art and mosaics.

Public art, an exercise circuit and rest spots at intervals take people on an enjoyable and informative tour of Halls Creek. The Walk informs locals, but most importantly visitors, who are encouraged to stop and learn about the town.

Red Hill Primary School, Halls Creek District High School, Kimberley TAFE (Halls Creek Campus), the Shire of Halls Creek and the Kimberley Language Resource Centre have helped create the totem poles, which mark each of the nine stations, as well as a mosaic and shelter in the park.
