Buckingham Way is a proposed new residential development in Collie. It aims to provide a well integrated, quality estate that will offer contemporary and affordable country living options whilst respecting the area’s environmental and social characteristics.
The Buckingham Way project seeks to develop a new residential estate of 234 lots across 39.7ha with an average area of 764m2 per lot. The estate will ensure quality residential land is available within the town site and assist the Shire in attracting and retaining local industry workers.
Features include the retention of 8.2ha of native bushland in the development area, a ‘green’ spine which connects to existing Public Open Space south of the site, 3 active parks, and walking and cycling trails. 32.2% of the site will be retained as either public open space or preserved vegetation.
