The Ashburton North Strategic Industrial Area (ANSIA) is fast developing as an important hydrocarbon processing precinct, supporting a range of associated industries.

The 8,000ha precinct is located 12km west of Onslow and will be right at the heart of the major projects taking place in the region, including the Chevron Wheatstone LNG Project and BHP Billiton Domestic Gas Project.

It will include a state port, common user coastal area, multi-user corridors and a heavy industry area for liquefied natural gas (LNG) and hydrocarbon processing.

LandCorp is also building a General Industrial Area (GIA) within ANSIA to provide support to companies involved in its construction and operation. These include transport and logistics operations, pipeline integrity services, vehicle repair, construction, maintenance and associated industries.

The GIA will provide vital support to commercial activity within ANSIA and generate new business growth in Onslow to boost economic development in the Pilbara region.
