Regional Development

LandCorp is working hard to ensure the growth of townsites across regional Western Australia.

The regional program aims to provide sufficient land to stimulate social and economic growth to these areas - creating job opportunities and attracting new residents and tourists.

LandCorp's projects in regional areas of Western Australia include major tourism and commercial projects, large and small scale residential developments, as well as industrial land designed specifically for the long-term needs of local communities.

Whether it is a handful of industrial lots to support small businesses in towns like Newman, Walpole and Manjimup, or major residential developments in places such as Hopetoun, Karratha and Broome, LandCorp's regional program can help local communities achieve their goals.

Working with the Regions

LandCorp works with local councils, regional development commissions and local selling agents to build and enhance regional communities.

To facilitate and further enhance these relationships, we have restructured our Regional Development team to provide a more streamlined approach to communications. Headed by Peter McNally, LandCorp business manager regional projects, the new structure sees the appointment of regional managers in each of LandCorp’s six key regions that mirror the Regional Development Commission areas.

The role of the regional managers is to provide an initial single liaison contact for timely, accurate and continuous flow of two-way information.

Three regional managers have already been appointed, with the recruitment process for the remaining three regional managers underway.
