Coolbellup Primary School is handing out its last test to the people of Coolbellup. The former school site will soon welcome a new residential community and the partners on the project, LandCorp and Lend Lease, are calling on the community to name the new development.

To reflect the history of the site and honour the former school, ‘Elementary at Coolbellup’; The Primary at Coolbellup; and ‘Principal Parklands’ have been put forward as suggested names for the development.

Felicia Brady, Coolbellup Development Manager, Lend Lease Communities, said, “Together with LandCorp, we want to create a place that fits in perfectly with the fantastic community at Coolbellup.”

“Coolbellup is such an engaged and supportive community so we thought who better to help us name the development than the people who know Coolbellup best. We want to create a place that we can all be proud of.”

The spirit and memories of the former school site will also be reflected in the landscape design, street names and public art.

The new development will offer more diversity and affordable living options, providing a range of new house and land options for all lifestyles – from first home buyers, young families or those downsizing.

It will retain the beautiful natural setting of the site through the creation of exciting newrecreational spaces and walkways.

Located between Hargreaves Rd, Hilory St and Ebert St, the site will include a total of 58 single housing lots and two group housing sites as well as large areas of open space and parkland.

To make your mark simply click here to vote on your favourite name by visiting, or jump on facebook/Coolbellup, Phone: 9223 2888 or drop an entry in the box at the Coolbellup Shopping Centre.

The most popular name will be adopted and the names of all voters will be recorded in Coolbellup history, inscribed forever within the open spacefeatured in the new community.
