Recognised as a WA SuperTown, Collie is a significant base for major industrial activity including mining of coal and bauxite, refinining, and is home to the coal-fired Muja, Collie and Bluewaters power stations.

Set in the picturesque Collie River Valley, the Shire is surrounded by forests and conservation parks and its tourism industry is growing steadily. Natural attractions include the Wellington National Park, Harris Dam, and the Collie River. The Bibbulmun Track - a world class 1,000km walk trail - and the Mundabiddi long distance off-road cycle trail pass through the Collie townsite.

Just minutes from the town centre, at Morrison Way, the Collie Light Industrial Area (LIA) is on track to become an important site for support services to big industry, and has a key role in the bigger picture for the economic growth of Collie and the region.

Together with LandCorp's Shotts Industrial Park, the two developments underpin the area's industrial land needs now and into the future.

Lots currently available in the Collie Light Industrial Area range from 2,000sqm to 1.55ha and are priced from $150,000 to $590,000.

Purchaser information

With increased employment opportunities in mining, power production and service businesses driving demand for industrial land in Collie, we have been working towards the expansion of the existing light industrial area, with a total of 52 new lots planned over three stages. All lots in Stages 1 and 2 are now available.

The lots are particularly suited to businesses which support and service the growing number of major industrial operations in the area and beyond. Apart from existing and proposed big business activity, there are plans for the expansion of BHP’s Worsley Alumina refinery as well as the BlueWater Power Station expansion.

Currently, Collie’s light industrial area is home to storage, manufacturing, warehousing and car wrecking businesses as well as transport depots.

To continue the development of a vibrant regional community, purchasers are required to build within 36 months from settlement.
