What is LandCorp?We are WA’s government land and property development agency looking after the needs of our State for future generations. Who runs LandCorp?We operate with an independent Board of Directors who are responsible to the Minister for Regional Developments; Lands. Do we make money?We operate as a fully commercialised agency under similar financial practices as any major corporation. We rely on our own operations to fund all growth, while paying Government a return on its equity in the form of dividends and meeting all tax requirements. The Western Australian Auditor General conducts annual audits of LandCorp. What happens to our profits?Our profits are returned to the people of WA through a dividend to the State Government. Do we pay taxes and rates?We pay rates and tax equivalents in line with private enterprise.
